Our ladies love having a fayre, visitors and entertainment on a glorious summers day .....

Pets are welcome and Gizmo (pictured below) is a hot favourite with the residents on his frequent visits to Alexandra House.

This is a great family time too, its good for our visitors to have something to keep them entertained. The outside space at Alexandra House was well used and we love having everyone join us.

Alexandra House is a place called home for our residents and the summer fayre helps bring everyone together. The gathering also helps with the residents fund and brings a welcome £535. s for outings and entertainments.

Well done to Debra Bonser - Activities Coordinator for arranging the summer fayre and also the many staff who contributed, by baking, donating, participating etc & making it a success. Of course a thank you to our doners with their generosity and gifts; Warburton's, Boots, Sainsbury's, Johnson's newsagents, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Stacey's, Hands butchers and M&S

Jacqueline bought the party 'nibbles' , the buffet adorned with tropical plants! and fabulous cakes from daughter Latia's Champion Cup Cakes.

Giant Pass the Parcel proved to be a hit as Joyce wonders just where to start on it! There seemed to be a present for everyone though....

Yes a gift for everyone, Joan is looking pleased with hers. This was some wrapping up job.

Sweet Caroline, Maybe its because I'm a Londoner, My Old Man said Follow the Van and Strolling Along - some of the good old  songs, along with maraccas, tambourine and drum, gave everyone a chance to join in.

Carer Kelly and Jacqueline, real party 'goers' - they sang, clapped, danced, entertained and lifted the atmosphere.

The party atmosphere was good for everyone and helped lift the spirits. Park House was also decorated ready for the start of the world cup - i hope they were up to watching the England Victory - What an exciting day.

Park House lends itself to dancing and Jacqueline leads the way for the ladies as they conga around the building,
