Hucknall British Legion share News and Weapons

RBL Hucknall came and entertained & informed our residents:-

The Royal British Legion gentleman on their annual visit and chat, plus war memorabilia.

Derek seems keen on the firearms - not loaded!

Eileen and Derek enjoy learning about how poppies are made and other interesting stories.

Eleanor is not pointing the gun at her head, merely checking it for weight, she is doing well holding it up, they are surprisingly heavy & of course a cup of tea at the ready!

Thanks to our visitors from RBL Hucknall for sharing their knowledge and making it lively and different for our residents at Alexandra House.

The new Spondon Dynamo’s supporters club includes residents; Joe, Phil, Ron, Brian, Derek, & Canal Vue staff -  Mum Zoe Truman - Unit Manager & Louise Chadwick Activities Coordinator

The chant has to be; three-one, three-one, three-one, the ‘score’ in both the semi and the final...

Congratulations go to the winners of the Under 10's final -

The Spondon Dynamos

We are pleased to announce our first foray into the world of football sponsorship .......... by offering support to the Spondon Dynamos.

Canal Vue's Zoe Truemans son, Oakley, plays for this super squad of under 10's.

Pictured Zoe - middle with her co-workers at Canal Vue. Zoe loves her work caring for the residents at Canal Vue and was recently been promoted to Unit Manager.

Oakley is 'on the ball' with his team mates who play in the Derby junior league, soon to be Under 11's.

The Dynamo's play at the Racecourse in Chaddesden Derby and have had a winning run of games. They are lucky to have both Coach, Paul Kirk and Assitant Coach, Mark Bull to direct them.

We look forward to updating you when the new kit arrives complete with the Eastgate Logo

'it is good to be able to help the youngsters in this way and the oldsters at Canal Vue would love them to visit sometime' said Managing Director Janine Morgan

We wish the Dynamos all the best in their forthcoming semi final - on the 30th April.
