Attending a place of worship is still restricted and will continue to be limited to some degree depending on which tier you happen to be categorised in. However here at Park House Care Home, spirituality and faith remain an integral part of life and even more so with an inch of divine intervention.
Finding ways to continue with our interests and routines, as safely as we can, and adhering to the pandemic rules and guidelines, We brought mass into our care home for resident Sister Bella.
All that was required was to find a quiet spot of contemplation for Sister Bella to continue to enjoy what she has participated in and enjoyed, every week her whole life, but this time virtually through the use of technology live-streaming on an iPad.
Managing Director at Eastgate Care, Janine Morgan says: “Attending mass in person is currently not permitted, but it hasn’t stopped us finding a way for Sister Bella to participate and be part of her faith in a meaningful way. Where we can, we will make it happen for all our residents, so if there are any requests let me know.”
