In a Christmas special to be aired later in the year, Naomi Allsop, Activities Coordinator at Canal Vue Care Home, was invited to an audience with Sir Rod Stewart.
In what was a very select and special audience of key workers from the NHS and Social Care sector, Naomi was hand picked to meet the rock legend who personally addressed his audience on a Zoom call to say thank you for all their hard work.
Organised by BBC Radio the Make a Difference Christmas Special will see Naomi talking about her inspiration for her work and one very special person, Mr Donald Rose, the 106 year old who has made the care home his home. A man who has captured Naomi’s imagination and a source of on-going inspiration for in life.
Naomi Allsop, Activities Coordinator at Canal Vue Care Home says: “What an absolute honour to be invited to join such a small audience with Sir Rod Stewart. It was amazing to be able to share my story about how Donald is a massive inspiration to me. It was fantastic when I got to ask Rod a question, which had to be, ‘what inspires you?’.
The Christmas recording will be aired at Christmas time – we’ll post an update nearer the time on our social page to let you kow when.
