Below are a few notes which may answer some basic queries:
Visitors may come and go as they please within reason. It’s best to avoid meal-times. Please make yourself known to staff on arrival, if that’s going to be after dark, please call first.
Smoking is not allowed in the homes or grounds.
Residents may go out if they are able and/or accompanied but in consultation with the staff, we need to know everyone is safe.
There are activity sessions every afternoon, occasional outings and other entertainments. Conversation with staff, visitors and other residents strengthens the sense of belonging and the feeling of community.
Residents are encouraged to bring a few small mementos to personalise their rooms. These must be removed if the room is vacated.
If a resident becomes unwell Registered Nurses and Care Staff are always available to help you. If necessary they will arrange a doctor’s visit. You will continue to be cared for in the home. On the doctors advice and if it is your wish, you can be transferred to hospital.
