We’ve always prided ourselves on providing the best of live entertainment to our residents, so undeterred by the restrictions of the pandemic we’ve taken to virtual entertainment.
Thinking outside of the box, and finding new ways to do our usual activities, the latest brain wave from Alexandra House Care Home was to organise a live music show for residents to interact with, from the comfort of their living room, whilst viewing the live stream on our TV.
Assistant Manager at Alexandra House Care Home, Caroline Carraher said “We’re getting familiar with thinking outside the box. The pandemic has forced many restrictions on our lives but we don’t want it to get in the way of having fun. Organising a live music show, as we ordinarily would, but virtually through live streaming has been a great success and nearly as good as having the band here in person. One thing is for sure, we were not prepared to let our residents down and thankfully with great technology we have been able to put on a really good show for everyone to enjoy”
