This was a great engaging activity in partnership with Nottingham’s City Arts Imagine project, when an exciting new piece of theatre was created in conjunction with our residents; First came the introduction of some strange looking, almost human puppets, which proved highly amusing and interactive. Pictured residents, concentrating to get it right, choosing their props from writer Mathew Pegg, they then used an old overhead projector to throw their images to the screen. The workshops proved to be fun and uplifting, helped along with some music. This project was created for the Imagine Arts and Older People programme, an art project awarded money from the Arts Council England and The Baring Foundation’s Arts and older people in care fund.
