The month of September is World Alzheimer’s Month when people come together from around the world to raise awareness and to challenge the stigma that persist around dementia.
On Monday the 13th September we’ll be doing our bit at Melbourne House Care Home and wearing a purple T Shirt in honour and recognition of the month and to raise valuable funds to contribute towards Alzheimer’s disease research.
Tracey Archer-Pullen Activities Coordinator says: “If families would like residents to join in that would be great, all that is needed is a plain purple t shirt. Donations will be greatly received which we will donate to the Alzheimer’s Society towards their amazing research into the disease.”
